Doc Johnson's Anal Glide is the long-haul, thick-as-it-gets petroleum-based anal lube made for the kind of session where nothing else lasts. Where water-based lube needs constant reapplication and silicone wears off in the shower, petroleum-based formulas like this one stay slick for hours without thinning out. The 127g pump canister puts that staying power one-handed within reach.
This is a specialist product for very specific use cases. It is petroleum-based, which means it will destroy latex condoms on contact, damage silicone, jelly, TPE, TPR, and ULTRASKYN toys, and stain fabric. So it is not a do-anything lube. It is the right tool when you need maximum cushion, maximum endurance, and you are working in a context where condoms and toy materials are not in play. Read the safety section carefully before use.
The formula also includes an antibacterial numbing agent for extra comfort during prolonged sessions. Vegan-friendly, body-safe, and proudly made in America by Doc Johnson, the brand that has been making intimacy products since 1976.
What makes it tick
- Petroleum-based formula, very thick and long-lasting
- Includes antibacterial numbing agent
- Sturdy pump canister, 127g
- Vegan-friendly, body-safe
- Made in the USA
How to use it
Patch test on the inside of your wrist 24 hours before first use. Apply a small amount externally and wait a few minutes for the numbing to take effect. Start with less than you think you need. Take time. Petroleum-based lube does not need topping up like water-based does.
What it plays well with
- Glass, metal, ceramic, and stainless steel toys (these materials are not affected by petroleum)
- Bareback anal play between fluid-bonded partners
- Long sessions, fisting, intensive use cases where staying power matters
Critical safety: Doc Johnson's Anal Glide is petroleum-based. That means:
- Do NOT use with latex condoms. Petroleum destroys latex on contact. The condom will fail. If you need a condom-compatible anal lube, choose Wicked Jelle or B-LUVD Anal.
- Do NOT use with silicone, jelly, TPE, TPR, or ULTRASKYN toys. Petroleum degrades all these materials. Glass, metal, ceramic, and stainless steel toys are safe.
- Stains fabric. Use a towel under play. Petroleum lube does not wash out of sheets easily.
- Numbing agent masks pain. Pain during anal play is your body telling you to slow down or change angle. With desensitiser in play, you lose that signal. Always use anal toys with a flared base, go slowly, and never push past resistance even when you cannot feel it.
- Hard to clean. Wash with warm soapy water and a flannel. May take more than one wash to feel fully gone.
If irritation occurs, discontinue use. Avoid contact with eyes. Keep out of reach of children. Not a contraceptive.
